Triquetra
Originating from the Celtic traditions, it represents the three faces of the Great Mother, the creative energy of the universe, whose three sides are the Virgin, Mother and Crone. It also represented the seasons, which was formerlydivided into three phases, spring, summer and winter.
The triquetra, triquætra in Latin, is similar to a tríscele and can be interpretedas a representation of the infinite in three dimensions or eternity.
It was a very common symbol in Celtic civilization because of its enormouspower of protection. Found inscribed on rocks, helmets and armor for war, was interpreted as the interconnection and interpenetration of the physical, mental and spiritual.
The circle in the middle, like the pentagram, representing the perfection andprecision.
Plagiarized by Christianity, this symbol came to represent the Christian Trinity, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Nature and the Craft.: Are you a Witch, Wiccan or Pagan?
danceswithfaeriesunderthemoon:
Some people can find this a confusing question. Most assume they are both the same things….they’re not!
This is the basic summary of each:
Witch: uses magic, also knows as Witchcraft, to manipulate the energy of the universe to achieve a desired goal. Anyone of any religion can be a Witch.
Wiccan: Follows the religion called Wicca, a Neo-Pagan religion based on re-creations of pre-Christian beliefs and practices, the worship of the Earth and traditions adopted from ceremonial magic. Although Wiccans call themselves Witches, using Witchcraft is not a requirement. Many choose to use magic, while others simply honour the cycle of the seasons, the moon and the Gods without using magic to achieve personal goals.
Pagan: Also known as Neo-Pagans, follow one of several Earth religions that are influenced by ancient Pagan Religions, Wicca is one such Earth religion. Druidry and Asatru (Norse) are the other two most common Earth religions.
Wiccan Witch right here ^-^

You will begin now.
Here’s to turning this Tumblog into my online Book of Shadows, holding me accountable for documenting & encouraging my Craft.
I’m so bad at magickal recordkeeping - my written journals are sporadic, hard to read and have major time gaps, making it difficult to track progress and cross-reference material. Perhaps switching to a digital format will not only discipline this practice but also hopefully share and meet some other Witches, Wiccans, Pagans, etc at the same time.
Yes, I’ll still post random photos (hopefully some of my own!) and other such re-blogged stuff, but I want this to become more of a reblogging thing - I want my own content, my own intersection of the Web, literally and metaphysically!
As of today,
Rowan Amaranth
